UNO Basketball Player Saves Man in Sinkhole

UNO women's basketball player Olivia Borsutzki and teammate Esra Kurban sprang into action to rescue a driver trapped in a massive sinkhole that swallowed two vehicles at an Omaha intersection.

Video shows Borsutzki driving around stopped traffic to reach the scene, where she and Kurban pulled the SUV driver from the hole despite the sinkhole being 30 to 50 feet wide. Borsutzki noted that while cars passed by, many people were filming instead of helping. The sinkhole was caused by a water main break.

Borsutzki, a 5-foot-11 junior guard and German national, described the scene as chaotic, noting that grown men nearby did not step in to help until the players acted.
