Real Madrid secured a place in the Champions League quarter-finals after defeating Benfica 2-1 on aggregate on Wednesday, thanks to a late goal from Vinicius Júnior.

Despite missing stars like Kylian Mbappé, Real Madrid prevailed with a 2-1 win on the night and a 3-1 aggregate score. Rafa gave Benfica an early lead, but Aurélien Tchouaméni equalized before Vinicius Júnior netted the decisive goal in the 80th minute.

Madrid now awaits the winner of the tie between Sporting and Manchester City in the quarter-finals.
