The IHSAA boys swimming state finals concluded on February 28 with Carmel High School claiming its 12th consecutive team title. Mount Vernon's Ozzy Jankowski had the best local finish, placing third in the 100 butterfly (48.69 seconds) and fourth in the 100 backstroke (49.74). Memorial senior Caden Zeidler also reached the podium with fifth-place in the 100 freestyle (45.59) and seventh in the 50 freestyle (20.84).
Several other Evansville-area athletes competed at the state championship, including Castle, Jasper, North, Tell City, Southridge, and Central. Castle's 400 freestyle relay team finished 22nd, while Jasper had multiple participants across various events.
