Fitzgerald Proposes College Football Calendar Overhaul

During his recent appearance on ESPN analyst David Pollack's podcast, Michigan State head coach Pat Fitzgerald proposed reforming the college football calendar. His suggestions include moving up the start of the season, implementing home playoff games similar to the NFL, FCS, and D2 levels, and moving the national championship game to January 1st. Fitzgerald also recommended eliminating conference championship games and scheduling bowl games one week after the regular season concludes.
