Cooper Witten Commits to Oklahoma

Four-star linebacker Cooper Witten committed to the Oklahoma Sooners on Tuesday, following his father, former Dallas Cowboys star Jason Witten, to the program as tight ends coach.

Witten, ranked the second-best linebacker prospect in the Class of 2027 by On3 and Rivals, chose the Sooners over SEC rivals Georgia, Texas A&M, and Tennessee.

Despite the family connection, Cooper noted that his father's employment wasn't the defining factor, stating he wanted to find the best fit for himself.
